With a background in Martial Arts where she was first introduced to Eastern philosophies, acupressure, and alternative medicine, Stephanie knew she wanted a career helping people. Immediately after high school she enrolled in the Baltimore School of Massage, where she graduated in 1992. Her career has been spent working in two chiropractic offices and health clubs. This has given Stephanie the opportunity to work with people in acute pain or as a support for more chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, and migraines.
She enjoys giving all types of massage but feels best suited for deep bodywork and sports massage. Working with athletes and helping them obtain specific goals is always rewarding. Stephanie also really enjoys working with kids and seniors.
Stephanie thinks of massage as having a ripple effect, not just affecting the person she’s massaging, but everyone that person comes in contact with afterwards. “Maybe they are a little more patient, calm, or compassionate when dealing with others because they feel more relaxed after a massage”, says Stephanie.
In her spare time Stephanie enjoys exercising, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and learning all she can about wine. She speaks a little Spanish and is trying to learn Arabic.
Stephanie feels blessed to be doing a job she loves so much and says, “I think it’s just incredible to be in a position to help so many people live life with a little less pain, discomfort, and stress. My clients give back to me just as much as I give to them. They are wonderful and I learn so much from them”.
